This is Nila, a character introduced in chapter 2 of Welcome to Soulmarket. Most of the time when I sit down to start an illustration, I have absolutely nothing in my head, no image or goal whatsoever. I start with simple warmups, and studies, and let them carry me into a piece. This time however, I knew exactly what this would look like at the end. This ended up looking exactly how I intended in a way that was really exciting.
